Preterm is defined as babies born alive before 37 weeks of gestation have been completed. There are subcategories of preterm birth based on gestational age: extremely preterm (less than 28 weeks), very preterm (28 to 32 weeks), and moderate to late preterm (32 to 37 weeks).
I photographed this material for two months on behalf of the premature baby ambulance service in Szeged. Before starting work, I received a quick training in paramedic and accident protection. I was impressed by the professionalism of healthcare workers. At the same time, it was shocking to see the tiny saved lives. Using my photos, the lifesaving foundation received a lot of support.
