When the fish died, she expected darkness, but instead, she woke gliding through blades of grass, dew clinging to her fins like memory. No longer confined by water, she swam beneath tall grass, wove through clover, and leapt with the breeze. The sky was a sea now, and the earth was a strange, green ocean. She did not ask why. She only swam.
